Greetings! I'm Kalauna, the brains and heart behind Kolors by K! I'm thrilled to have you join me on this incredible journey toward healthier, more vibrant nails.

As a proud native of Portland, Oregon, and a double HBCU-grad with degrees in Environmental Science from Tuskegee University, I'm deeply committed to crafting nail products that not only dazzle but also prioritize your well-being. With a Bachelor's in Environmental Science and a Master's in Environmental Management, I'm currently pursuing my Doctorate in Environmental Science at Florida A&M University.

My passion for sustainability, coupled with my dedication to inclusivity, led me to create Kolors by K. Growing up, I struggled to find cosmetic companies owned by individuals who looked like me and were committed to eco-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free practices. Determined to fill that void, I embarked on a mission to become a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs of all backgrounds.

Since 2016, I've juggled growing my business, working full-time as an environmental scientist, and pursuing my academic goals. Despite the challenges, I've proudly handcrafted over 25,000 bottles of nail polish, each infused with the ethos of sustainability and inclusivity.

Today, Kolors by K® stands tall in nail salons nationwide, gracing beauty boxes, and earning accolades from various publications. We've earned international recognition, certified by prestigious organizations like The Leaping Bunny Program, PETA, and ECOLOGO® for our commitment to reduced environmental impact.

Our accolades don't stop there. Kolors by K® has been endorsed by none other than former First Lady Michelle Obama and adorned by the fierce warriors of Marvel's Black Panther, the Dora Milaje.
